Team Dope Sheet The girls basketball team this year won 3 out of 21 games. They had quite a few close games but not until the Sectional Tournament did they win their first game. They beat Pleasant Plain the first night of the tournament in an overtime by 2 points, with a final score of 34-36. The second game they played in the tourna- ment was another victory for our girls over Packwood with a score of 38-26. They lost against Batavia in the Consolation. The third game won by the Eldon sextette was with Eddyville which resulted from an overtime. The final score for that game was 24-20. Dorthy Jo Aeschliman and Marsha Tynan were outstanding guards. Bonnie Hemm and Joyce Phillips were high scorers for this year and Carol Hemm was chosen as Captain with Joyce Phillips as co-captain. They had many close games, either in their or their opponents favor. Our boys about doubled the score on quite a few of the other teams. They beat Douds 56-20 and Packwood 50-26. The Eldon vs Farson game was an exciting game with the Pirates winning by 1 point, 33-32.
