IN MEMORIAM MARIE HANNA 1935-1950 The Sophomore Class of 1951 would like to dedicate this page of the EL-HI-AN to one of our very well-known classmates, Marie Hanna, who passed away this previous summer. We all remember her for her friendliness to everyone in her class and her ready willingness to help anyone. She was born at South Bend, Pennsylvania, on May 6, 1935. Marie lived in South Bend all her life. Marie was an active member of the F. H. A. Club last year and was to have been president of the Tri-Hi-Y this year. ..4..

Our Supervising Principals Message I have an especially warm spot in my heart for your class because we entered Elderton High School together in September, 1947. The past four have been years of change for all of us. I hope these changes have been for the best and that you are leaving Elderton Joint High School better prepared because of these changes. Again the roots of the tree of liberty are being watered with the blood of patriots while we pray for enduring peace. War-like thunder clouds loom over- head.
