As our forefathers were pioneers in the new Westem World in the seventeenth century, so have we, the Senior Class of 1951, been pioneers in a new educational program. Those hardy pioneers, through courage and perseverance, paved the way for modern education. Today we, too, have been a part of modern education in progress, and we have seen in four years how our school has grown. IN MEMORIAM MARIE HANNA 1935-1950 The Sophomore Class of 1951 would like to dedicate this page of the EL-HI-AN to one of our very well-known classmates, Marie Hanna, who passed away this previous summer. We all remember her for her friendliness to everyone in her class and her ready willingness to help anyone. She was born at South Bend, Pennsylvania, on May 6, 1935. Marie lived in South Bend all her life. Marie was an active member of the F. H. A. Club last year and was to have been president of the Tri-Hi-Y this year. ..4..
