Smile pretty for the camera, Mt. Dabbelt! Mt. Dave Dabbclt, a star wrestler in his days at Elder, graduated in 1966. He attended U.C. where he earned a BA. in History and a BS in Education. Mr. Dabbelt returned to Elder during thc 70-71 school year, and teaches American History and International relations. He is the reserve wrestling coach, and enjoys travelling in his spare time. No Nymbctg, you cm't bring you: rubber ducky to pmcticc! E I Mr. Gilbert Wendling is in his 5th year at Elder, and teaches American History. A 65 LaSalle graduate, he received a B.S. in History from XU, and is working toward his Mastefs in history. Mr. Wendling is the coach of the state champion Cross Country team, the ever improving swimming team, and the track team. x t 5;.- Jg, I i .J' .u a One side of beef, half a harm! of milk, 2 crates of bananas, and 1 bottle of Pepro- Bismol. Mr. Daniel Hilvett, a 64 Elder alumnus, is a 6 year veteran on the Elder faculty. He received a B.S. in History in 1968, and a M.Ed. in History from X.U. in 1970. Mr. Hilvert teaches American History, and enjoys all sports. 23

Charlie poses for Starkistis new labclv Mr. Charles Kaufold has spent 8 years on the Elder faculty, and is presently teaching Problems of Democracy, He is a 1960 graduate of Elder, and received his M. Ed. in History from Xavier. MI. Kaufold is the moderator of the Elder chapter of the Greater Cincinnati Safety League and Social Studies Computer League, He also takes care of the school grounds, and enjoys motorcycle racing. Mr. Paul Frey is in his tenth year on the Elder Faculty, A 1957 Elder grad, Hans graduated from Regis College in 1962, and served in the Marine Corps the following two years. Mr. Frey teaches P.O.D., and coaches the varsity basketball team. He likes to travel and fish in his spare time. 22 Q?CD s19? RS Q'UB Q. 05$ Hello Dolly! Mr. Thomas Hcssling, a 1946 St. Xavier graduate, is in his 13th year at Elder. He received his M.EdV from Xavier in 1968. He directs the Elder-Scton Series at Eight, enjoys reading, and travels in his free time. Mr, Hessling instructs the seniors in P.O.D., and occasionally fills in for Spanish 1, assqogqsegsc-QU MI. me daydream: about a 6' 11 freshman.

Mr. Donovan gets the Bids. Mr. Spence: gets his first glimpse of streaking. Mr, Timothy Donovan is an instructor of sophomore World Culture. He graduated from Covington Catholic in 1961, and went on to U. of Dayton where he earned 21 HS and A.B. in Education in 1966. He received his MA. in History from Xavier in 1970. He enjoys outdoor sports and airplanes in his leisure time. Mr. Stephen Spencer, a newcomer to the faculty, is a graduate of both Ashland HS. and Ashland College. He earned a BS. in Education in Social Studies Comprehension. ML Spencefs hobbies include running, which coincides with his coaching the frosh C.C. and Reserve Track team. He teaches World Culture and Geography. Mr. Mark Klusman is in his sixth year at Elder, and teaches American History. He holds a B.S, in Economics as well as a M.Ed; in Social Studies from Xavier University. Mr. Kinsman is one of many Elder graduates to return as teacher, having graduated from Elder in 1961. He is the moderator of the Bike Club, and likes to play chess when he finds the time. Who says that any teacher who rides a bike to school every day is out of his mind?
