MONSIGNOR RYAN, in his capacity as superintendent of schools, sees to the statting ot Elder with qualified personnel. His efforts in the school system ot the Archdiocese have elevated it to a position of equality with tax-supported systems with the plus ot a God-centered curriculum. TO MONSIGNOR KUHN, Dean of the Saint Lawrence District, we owe much thanks for an interest in our success not expected of a man with so many other time-consuming interests. FATHER STANG, in the twenty-first year at Elder, has been directly responsible for the academic standards and traditions which will be treasured in the soaring 60's and beyond. Father Stang's greatest contribution has been an intangible one- the spirit of cooperation and purpose that exists between faculty members and students. TO FATHER GRUBER, Assistant Principal, we owe the orderly operation of schedules, and moral force for the keeping of rules. RT. REV. MSGR. CARL J. RYAN

BOARD OF PASTORS Twenty-nine parishes are represented at Elder, send- ing thirteen-hundred students to this venerable Price Hill institution. With the erection of the new LaSalle High School on North Bend Road, to be opened in the fall, at least three parishes will be cut off from the Elder district. To our Pastors, we owe deep gratitude for the generosity of their parishes in helping finance our secondary education and for their constant encourage- ment for scholastic achievement The Elder Welfare Association, over the years, has been mainly responsible for material improvements made throughout the school the financing of which is impossible from tuition funds alone The Welfare Association provides also a means of contact between parents and teachers for closer co- operation in the education of the Catholic Youth of the Western Hills area .1 I I - REV. ,LEONARD VONDVEYPBRINK : Board of Pastors President Officers of the Elder Welfare Association are: left to right, front row: Mrs. L.
