AND THE HELP OF THOSE WHO GUIDE HIM . . . is an everpresent factor which serves to give the student a proper under- standing of, and a right attitude to- ward, law and the enforcement there- of. This help is furnished by the Elder faculty which serves as the authority of the school and sets into operation the principles of living, through various regulations. It de- monstrates t0 the student. the practi- cal necessity of rules in school life. Specific members judge Violations and levy penalties accordingly, not with the intention of making life un- pleasant, but to secure greater happi- ness to the greater number. The stu- dent thus trained, will know how to take his place under similar condi- tions in community life. Vigilantes and Police aid, direct, and keep order. MONSIGNOR RYAN, Superintendent of Arch- diocesan schools, directs overall school policy.

Since he is able to under- stand the reason and necessity be- hind law and authority, he will be able to participate more intelli- gently in the government of the community, state, and country . . . And with this background of the individual, there is formed good government through Catho- lic schools.
