LANGUAGE Latin. German, and Span- ish comprise Elder's venture into the dead and romantic tongues. Latin is by far the most popular of the trio, un- doubtedly clue to its many usehl adaptations. But by no means are the others spited. German and Spanish are not only dealt with as foreign languages but also as histories. outside of his field so that he may stay a jump or so ahead of the ques- tions that the students ask. The work ot the science teacher in high school is very important to those students who intend to continue their scientific studies in college. It is in high school that the foundation is laid and the basic principles are learned. Here at Elder. despite the lack of equipment, our science teachers have done a commendable joh instilling in the stu- dents a thorough knowledge of the tunctamentats 0f the sciences.
