mmmm-DEi-wmmmmu um H mm H m i Our Teachers The time has come for us to leave Elder High School, and, too, it is time for us, the Class of '25, to pause and deliberate on just what thoughts are appropriate and what actions are in order, at this most auspicious time of our lives. We fervently believe that the paramount duty for all of us is to remember that great debt of Gratitude, which We owe to our Teachers. Their task is hnished; ours is to begin. Four years ago we did not fully realize that we were plac- ing a great responsibility upon our Teachers, shoulders. namely to instruct us both in religious and worldly matters so that we might leave the portals of Elder fully equipped to enter and conquer the conflicts of the world. Yet our Reverend Fathers. good Sisters, worthy Brothers. and devoted lay-teachers have patiently striven to impart that learning we now possess and from which instructions everything must come which we may ever hope to attain. They have en- couraged us to learn and they have remedied and corrected our mistakes and faults With patience and kindness. The sacrifice which philosophers make is that they are willing to give their all for the knowledge they crave and want, but the sacrifice that our teachers have made is that they have been willing to give their lives in order to teach us some- thing more of God and His universe. We, therefore, for the present thank our Teachers from the bottom of our hearts for the great interest they have had in us for the last four years, and we hope that in the future our achievements may he a consolation and an honor for them.
