Zmwl The band of Elburn High School, combined with that of Maple Park, under the direction of Mr. Paul Morris, forms the Kaneland District Band. The District Band performed in the Fall Festival held in November and the Spring Concert given in May The District Marching Band also contributes to local parades and activities A Band Contest, in which the Elburn Band participated, was held at Belvidere in April 'Utd The Vocal Music Department of Elburn High School is directed by Mr Don Myers Students participating in this department make up both a Mixed Chorus and a Girls Chorus which performed in the Fall Festival and the Music Contest this year The chorus accompanlsts are Beverly Boyer and Richard Erickson ,eeecl The speech contestants this year were Betty Baldrldge Carol Mercer and Priscilla Seymour Mr Martin acted as their advisor Priscilla and Betty attended the speech contest held at Joliet Illinois Betty gave an extemporary verse reading and Prls llla, a serious reading Betty received a fifth place rating on her work Betty Baldridge Priscilla Seymour Carol Mercer 33 . . . . . , . .
