19 :-::-::-: :-nc:-: She Noqnet :-zz-zz-: -::-:ze Biographies ALVIN LeMOIN McKINNEY, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis A. McKinney, was born August 1, 1939, in Princeton, Indiana. He attended school at Lynnville for seven years. He moved to Elberfeld, Where he finished grade school. LeMoin participated in the Junior class play, M'liss , the 1956 Christmas play, Christmas At Home , and the Senior class play, Grandad Steps Out . He wrote the class wills for the Annual. RAYMOND WARD MENKE, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Menke, was born December 8, 1937, in Elberfeld, Indiana. He has re- ceived his entire schooling at Elberfeld. During his J unior-High years he played on the grade ball team and belonged to the J unior-High Glee Club. Raymond has been a member of the Glee Club for four years and received a letter in his Senior year for his music activities. He was Vice- President of his Sophomore class. He was the King candidate of his class at the Fall Festival in his Sophomore year. He played basketball for two years. JOYCE ANN MILES, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Miles, was born March 16, 1939 in Evansville, Indiana. She attended Elberfeld for her first four years. Then she moved to Vandeburgh county, Where she attended Scott Twp. Grade School for two and one-half years. Then she moved back to Elberfeld during the last semester of the seventh grade. During her J unior-High years she belonged to the J unior-High Glee Club. Joyce has been a member of the Glee Club for four years and re- ceived a letter in her Senior year for her music activities. She belonged to the Pep Club and Sunshine Society during her four high school years. This year she was the author of the Class Prophecy and the Class Char- acteristics. She participated in the Junior class play, M'liss and the Senior class play, Grandad Steps Out . She was the Basketball Queen in her Senior year and she won the Good Citizenship Award in her Senior year. LUANN E. NICHOLSON, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy O. Nicholson, was born February 10, 1939, in Evansville, Indiana. She has received her entire twelve years of schooling at Elberfeld. During her Junior-High years, she belonged to the School Orches- tra and the J unior-High Glee Club. ' Luann has been a member of the Pep Club, Orchestra and Sunshine Society during her four high school years. She received a letter for her music activities in her Senior year. This year she was Ass't. Picture Editor of the Annual. In her Junior year she was reporter for the Pep Club. This year she was reporter for the Glee Club. During her first and third years of high school she was Queen candidate at the Fall Festival. She re- ceived a letter for her music activities in her Senior year. This year she was Secretary of the Sunshine Society and the Treasurer of the Glee Club. She was Ass't. to the Senior Business Manager in her Junior year and this year she was the Advertising Editor of the Annual, wrote the biographies and the class poem. She was a varsity cheerleader during her Junior and Senior years, receiving an Honor sweater in her Senior year. She partici- pated in the 1956 Christmas play, Christmas At Home , and the Senior play, Grandad Steps Out . She won the Betty Crocker - General Mills Homemaker of Tomorrow Award in her Senior year. LARRY HERBERT HOLTZ, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn H. Holtz, was born May 21, 1939, in Elberfeld, Indiana. He has received his entire twelve years of schooling at Elberfeld. During his J unior-High years he played on the grade ball team and belonged to the J unior-High Glee Club and School Orchestra. Larry has been a member of the Glee Club for three and a half years and the Orchestra for four years. He received a letter for his music activities in his Senior year. Also he has been a member of the Pep Club for four years. He has played basketball and baseball for four years and received an Honor sweater in his Senior year for his activities in athletics. He participated in the Junior class play, M'liss , the 1956 Christmas play, Christmas At Home , and the Senior class play, Grandad Steps Out . He was the President of his Sophomore class and the Vice-Presi- dent of the Senior Class. At present, he is a Private in the Marine Corps Reserve. He was President of the Glee Club and Editor of the Annual. KATHLEEN VELMA HORN, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wil- lard M. Horn, was born October 9, 1939, in Sullivan, Indiana. She attend- ed Meadowlake School near Wolcott, Indiana for five and one-half years. Then she moved to Bruceville, Indiana, where she attended school during the last semester of the fifth grade and first semester of the sixth grade. At that time she moved to Millersburgh, Indiana, where she finished her grade school education. Kathleen came to Elberfeld during the last semester of her Junior year. She has belonged to the Glee Club for one and one-half years. She received a letter for her music activities in her Senior year. She partici- pated in the Senior class play, Grandad Steps Out . ANNA MAE KIEGEL, the daughter of Mrs. Albert P. Kiegel, was born June 29, 1939, in St. Wendell, Indiana. She attended school at Hat- field, Indiana for the first semester of the first grade. Then she moved to Elberfeld, where she has received eleven and one-half years of schooling. During her J unior-High years she belonged to the J unior-High Glee Club. Anna has been a member of the Glee Club, Pep Club and Sunshine Society during her four high school years. She received a letter in her Senior year for her music activities. She has received her entire twelve years of schooling at Elberfeld. During her J unior-High years she belonged to the J unior-High Glee Club and School Orchestra. Norita has been a member of the Pep Club, Orchestra and Sunshine Society during her four high school years. She received a letter in her Senior year for her music activities. In her Sophomore year, she was President of the Orchestra and Treasurer of the Glee Club. She was Teasurer of her class in her Junior year. This year she is President of the Sunshine Society, President of the Orchestra, Treasurer of the class and Pep Club and Business Manager of the Annual. She was the Maid-Of- Honor in the crowning of the Basketball Queen in her Senior year. She participated in the Junior class play, M'liss , the 1956 Christmas play, Christmas At Home , and the Senior class play, Grandad Steps Out . ELAINE ANN SHARP, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Loral W. Sharp, was born November 25, 1939, in Elberfeld, Indiana. She has re- ceived her entire twelve years of schooling at Elberfeld. During her Junior-High years she belonged to the Junior-High Glee Club and was a grade school cheerleader for one year. Elaine has been a member of the Glee Club, Pep Club and Sunshine Society during her four high school years. She received a letter for her Glee Club activities in her Senior year. She was Vice-President of the Sunshine Society, reporter of the Senior class, Class Historian for the Annual and Picture Arrangement Editor. She was the Queen candidate of her class at the Fall Festival in her Senior year. CURTIS HOWARD SIMPKINS, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester W. McCoy, was born July 8, 1939, in Vandeburgh County. He attended schools at Evansville, Vincennes and Scott Twp. in Vandeburgh County before enrolling here in the fifth grade. During his Junior-High years he belonged to the J unior-High Glee Club and played on the grade ball team. He was President of his class in his eighth year. Curtis has been a member of the Glee Club three and a half years. He has played baseball for four years. He was a member of the basket- ball squad for one year. In his Sophomore year he was Vice-President of his class. This year he is the Ass't. Annual Editor and sports reporter. He participated in the Junior class play, M'liss , and the Senior class play, Grandad Steps Out . He was the King candidate of his class at the Fall Festival in his Senior year. At present he is a Pfc. in the Marine Corps Reserve.
