Basketball . We had a good season this year although the record doesn't show it. We won eight and lost fifteen games on the toughest schedule an Elberfeld team has had to face. We were not big this year but had one of the fightingest teams to come from this school. The boys were young bgtfthley showed excellent teamwork, good shooting ability and plenty o ig t. DONALD SELLERS, Guard Always ready to give his best. Takes bad breaks with a smile and is an inspiration to his teammates. Senior and Captain. He scored 232 points this season. EUGENE GREEN, Guard A hard driver and handled the ball well. Eugene played his best game against Haaubstadt. He scored 150 points this year. Senior. JAMES ANDERSON, Forward A dangerous pivot man and was handy at taking them off the backboards. A senior. He scored 103 points this season. JAMES MILLER, Forward A good reserve who was capable of scoring in any ball game. Jim is a Senior. He scored 11 points this season. JESS BUTCHER, Guard Nearly always scored when in the game any length of time. Jess is a Senior this year. He scored 65 points this season for the re- serve team. GERALD THENE, Center A good man on the backboards and a capable scorer. Gerald played his best game against Tennyson. He scored 109 points for the reserve team. CLENNETH BESING, Center. A star at taking balls off the backboards. An excellent team play- efl-would rather pass than shoot. A Junior. ,He scored 218 points t is season.
