Biographies BARBARA MARIE HOLMES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Holmes, was born on September 5, 1934, in Constantine, Michigan. Bar- bara changed schools a dozen times, before she entered Elberfeld in Feb- ruary of '50 in her Sophomore year and finished her school career. Barbara has been a member of the Sunshine Society and the Glee Club. She was Treasurer of her class in her Junior year and Secretary in her Senior year. She was candidate for Fall Festival Queen in her Junior year and Senior year. In her Junior year she also played the part of Maw in the Junior Play. Barbara was appointed Assistant Editor of the Annual in her Senior year and she participated in the Senior Play. PAUL EDWARD McDANIEL, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. McDaniel, was born on June 18, 1934, in Evansville. He attended Howard Roosa School and then moved to St. Phillips where he went through the second grade and then moved back to Evansville. Paul graduated from the eighth grade at Chestnut-Walnut School. He then entered Central High School as a Freshman. During his Freshman year he was a member of the Central Glee Club and he took part in the operetta, The Mikado . His Sophomore year was spent at Memorial and his Junior year he enter- ed Elberfeld. Paul has been active in .sports in his Junior year and Senior year. He was a member of the -Glee Club in his Senior year and he was appoint- ed to the Annual staff. JAMES ROY MILLER, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Miller, was born on September 2, 1933, in Evansville. He entered school at Lodge in the first grade, from there he went to Columbia. Jim entered Henry Reis in the third grade and then entered Elberfeld in the fourth grade, where he finished the rest of his school career. Jim was active in sports and Glee Club work throughout his four years of high school. He played the part of Paw in the Junior Play, participated in the Senior Play and was President of his class in his Junior year. Jim took care of the movie projector all through his high school career. He was Editor of the school paper in his Senior year and was appointed to the Annual staff as Business Manager. JOHN RONALD OSTE'R, son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Oster, was born on June 8, 1934, in Boonville. At the age of three months he 'moved to Evansville, and stayed there until he was ten years old. He then moved to a small business establishment three miles northeast of Elberfeld. Ronald started to school at E. H. S. in the sixth grade and finished his school career here. Ronald was a member of the orchestra for four years, from '45 until '49. He was in the Glee Club during his Freshman year, class Presi- dent in his Freshman year, Reporter when he was a Sophomore and class President again in his Senior year. He took care of the movie projector part of the time during his high school career. He took part in The Georgia Jubilee Minstrel and the Junior Play. He was appointed to the staff of the Annual and the school paper during his Senior year. Q

Biographies DEWEY BILL COLBERT, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Colbert, was born on September 27, 1932, in Boonville. He went to Buckskin School for seven years and then moved to Elberfeld, where he started in the eighth grade and finished his school career. Dewey has been a member of the Glee Club for four years. He also served as student manager for four years. Dewey was stage manager for the Junior Play and during his Senior year he was sports editor for the Elite. . ill-.iv SHARON RAE TRIBLE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Deneke, was born on December 16, 1934, one-half mile north of Elberfeld. She received all twelve years of her education at Elberfeld. Sharon has been a member of the Glee Club for six years,-a mem- ber of the orchestra for five years, and a member of the Sunshine Society for four years. She served as a class officer for four years, and as Secre- tary of the Sunshine Society during her Senior year. She was candidate for Fall Festival Queen during her Freshman year. Sharon played the role of Dizzy Mae in the Junior Play. She also participated in The Beauty Contest , The Georgia Jubilee Minstrel and the Senior Play. - . ..- EUGENE GREEN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Henry Green, was born on June 5, 1933, at Elberfeld. When Eugene was three his father died and his family moved to Stanley, Indiana. Eugene received all twelve years of his education at Elberfeld. Eugene has been a member of the basketball team for six years, two years in grade school and four years in high school. In his Senior year he was appointed to the Annual staff. ,i....l-..-,- GYNEATH LORENE GWALTNEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar L. Gwaltney, was born on August 8, 1933, eight miles northeast of Elberfeld. She moved to Gibson County, where .she enrolled at Buckskin School. She then moved back to Greer Township, entered Elberfeld School in the sixth grade and completed her school career. Gyneath was a member of the Glee Club for four years. She took part in The Georgia Jubilee Minstrel and The Beauty Contest . In the Junior Play she played the part of Ellie Lou . Gyneath wrote the class degrees for the Annual in her Senior year. '

Biographies . DONALD SELLERS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sellers, was born on December 30, 1933, six miles northeast of Elberfeld. He received all twelve years of his education at Elberfeld. 1 Donald has been active in sports for six years, two years in grade school and four years in high school. He has been a member of the Glee Club for two years, during this time he took part in The Georgia Jubilee Minstrel . During his Junior year he played the part of Curlie in the Junior Play, Comin' Round the Mountain . Donald was on the staff of the school paper and the staff of the Annual during his Senior year. CLYDE STRATMAN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Stratman, was born on September 17, 1933, one fmile west of Elberfeld. At the age of three he moved to Earl, Indiana. He later attended Scott School and then moved back to Elberfeld where he finished his school career. Clyde was in the Glee Club for four years. He took part in the Junior Play and also participated in the Senior Play. During his Senior year he was on the school paper staff and the Annual staff. GERALD LEE THENE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Thene, was born on July 14, 1933, in Elberfeld. He has received all twelve years of his edu- cation at Elberfeld. Gerald has been active in sports during his high school career and he has been a member of the Glee Club. During his Senior year he worked on the school paper, was appointed to the Annual staff and participated in the Senior Play. 11 DORIS JEAN WALKEIR, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Walker, was born on November 16, 1934, near Central City, Kentucky. She attend- ed two grade schools, Central City Grade School and Mount Elliot Grade School in Detroit, Michigan, before she entered the sixth grade at Elber- feld, where she finished her school career. . Doris was a member of the Glee Club for six years and a member of the Sunshine Society for four years. She was President of her class in her Sophomore year, Treasurer in her Senior year and also Treasurer of the Sunshine Society. She participated in the operetta The Beauty Contest , played the part of Carol Hughes in the Junior Play and also participated in the Senior Play. During her Senior year she was appointed editor of the Annual. '
