,.,. . ., -1 ,W-www Class History In September of 1948 twenty-one Green Freshies stood gazing around the halls of E. H. S. wondering where they should go next. Just think, we were in high school at last. The twenty-one Green Freshies were: Ronald Oster, Gordon Limp, Jim Enlow, Clyde Stratman, Jim Miller, James Anderson, Dewey Colbert, Eugene Green, Gerald Thene, Donald Sellers, Jess Butcher, Bill Hurt, Dolores Campbell, Addie Stewart, Bar- bara Arendell, Gyneath Gwaltney, Sharon Deneke, Betty Miles, Doris Walker, Barbara Hadfield and Nellie Houghton. During the year we lost three members, Barbara Hadfield and Betty Miles, who are going to Reitz, and Nellie Houghton, who quit school. We gained two students in the second semester, Belvia Scott, who came from Central, and Max Mikell, who came from Memorial. Now we are back for our Sophomore year with eighteen students. During our Sophomore year we lost three students, Jim Enlow, Max Mikell and Belvia Scott, who quit. We gained two new students, Betty Hurt from Central and Barbara Holmes from Bosse. Back again for our Junior year, we have seventeen in our class. Bill Hurt and Betty Hurt moved away, and Gordon Limp dropped out of our class in the last half of our Junior year. We gained one student, Eddie McDaniel, who came here from Memorial. During our Junior year we had quite a lot of excitement. We had our magazine sale in order to give a Junior-Senior Banquet. Then we gave our Junior Class Play, Comin' Round the Mountain , so all in all we had a very successful Junior year. Now we are Dignified Seniors . Out of the twenty-one students that we started with here are sixeen Dignified Seniors left to graduate. They are as follows: Jess Butcher. Ronald Oster, Dewey Colbert, Eddie McDaniel, Clyde Stratman, Donald Sellers, Gerald Thene, James Ander- son, Jim Miller, Eugene Green, Gyneath Gwaltney, Dolores Niederhaus, Barbara Arendell, Doris Walker, Barbara Holmes and Sharon Trible. Now is the time for the Seniors of 1952 to bid old E. H. S. a fond farewell. We have all enjoyed the years we have spent here. So to all the students and teachers we say, HFAREWELL AND BEST WISHES TO EACH AND EVERYONE. Written by Dolores Campbell Niederhaus
