fm.'UH4ggffQ3 ww 1 l l A ...n..a 7 x My friends, I have called you to assemble here as a solemn duty, that you, the heirs and assigns of my respected client, the class of 1949, may hear her last will and testament, which, as her legal advisor, I drew, as directed by her, 4 immediately prior to her passing from our presence. It was her intention and would have been her great plea- sure to present you personally with these tokens of her esteem, but, finding her possessions were even more extensive and valu- able than she had thought, it was impossible, particularly as her last days were so occupied with social engagements and the other dates not so social, but of great importance to the fu- ture, which she was obliged to keep with various members of the faculty. On these occasions, such wierd and unexpected ques- tions were addressed to her, an immediate answer in writlng be- ing required, that the strain left her too weary for additional effort. Because of this, if any slight discrepancies or apparent injustice or partiality should appear to you in the distribndon of her effects, we trust you will pardon it and realize it is caused, not by exhaustion of her brain, never over-robust. May I, as well as my lamented client, entreat that you re- ceive your respective legacies in the spirit of unselfish friendship with which they were given? I shall appreciate your courteous attention while I read this duly attested will. First to the Junior Class. We will the right to be Seniors next year and have a very good class play.
