The 'Elite quintet led at all quarters lO-7, 20-12 at halft1me,,28-27, and 32-31. Harris led the Elites to victory with 17 points. The second game saw the Elites against the Tennyson Tigers in which the Elites were never pressed throughout the .entire game which is shovm by quarter scores 15-9, 50115, 43-25,52-39. Speicher led the Elite scoring with 15 points followed by Hants and Silke with 12 points each. Our third game of the tourney matched us against the Boon- ville Pioneers which was the final game of the tourney. The highly favored Boonville quintet won the game and were again County Champs by the small margin of 5 points 41 to 44. The Pioneers led at the end of each Quarter 12e7Q.2Oel9, 52-26,Land 44-41. During the fourth quarter the Elites pulled ahead of the Pioneers by 5 points but were unable to hold it as Harris was having trouble with Charlie Horses, and fell by the wayside in another heart breaking thriller of the Warrick Co. Tourney.Hare ris led the attack by scoring 16 points. ELBEFFELD 55 CYNTHIANA 41 Feb. 2. The Elites traveled to Cynthiana to trim the Annds 55 to 41. Throughout the first three quarters the score was nip and tuck but the Anna's couldn't hold the steady pace, and the Elltes came home with another victory. Harris again was leading scorer with 22 points followed by Silks with l6.. CHANDLER 55 ELBEFFELD 25 On Feb. 4, Elberfeld traveled to Chandler to keepn from breaking a contract. Coach Dauby wasn't taking any chances of getting any of the boys hurt before the Sectional so we dlitook it easy and Chandler won an easy victory by a score of 55 to 26 ELBERFELD 54 NEWEURGH 55 Feb. 11. The Elltes nosed out Newburgh by The small margin of 1 point, 54 to 53. The scoring was distributed among I five of the Elberfeld boys as follows: Harris 17, Silks ll, M11ee'I1 Speicher 8, Poiles 3, and Sellers 5. SPURGEON 44 ELBERFELD 54 Feb. 15.
