The Elites Harris again won high and two free throws for 22 On Dec. 17, Elberfeld defeated Millersburgh in easy fash- ion by 9 score of 66 to 22. Parris and Silke esch got 15 points followed by Sellers end Poiles with 12 end 8 ooints respectumiya RICHLAND 60 ELEEPFELD 29 On Dec. 22, the Elite five traveled to Richland where they were hended their worst defeat of the season as they were handb- capped by playing in P small end badly lighted gym. The final score was Richland 60, Elberfeld 29. Harris and Silke ,got 10 points esch. WADESVILLE 54 ELEEFFELD 22 On Jen. 7, the Elites traveled to Wsdesville only to be dr feated 54 to 22. Elberfeld just cou1dn't break through the Red Devils Zone defense ss is indicated by quarter scores-1-8-10-23 Wadesville had-6-15-22-54. Harris and Silke were high scorers for the Elites with 9 and 8 points respectively, LYNNVILLE 47 ELEERFELD 29 fell to s very much improved Lynn- to 29. Lynnville was ahead at ell quarter margins by scores of 7 to 5, 22 to 10, 55 to 21, and 47 to 29. Harris was high scorer for the Elites with 11 points. On Jen. 14, the Elites ville five by a score of 4? ELBERFELD 52 STENDAL 41 ' On Jen. 18, Elberfeld defeated Stendal 52 to 41. Sellers turned in a great game and scored a total of 18 points for the ?1ites. Quarter scores were Elberfeld 15-25-38-52, Stendel .ll- 6' 0 CHANDLER 58 ELBERFELD 54 ' On Jen. 21, the Chandler Panthers handed the Elltesenether defeat by the smell margin of four points, 58 to 54.. Chandler led at all Quarters by scores 9-7, 19-16, and 58 to 54. Harris led the scoring with 16 points.

Tai as eat syn, -gay gags kNZ,?Hi me an '.- me 'wx hw is zz? -5 E- CQNTD, COUNTY TOURNEY Jan. 28-29: The Elites entered the tourney against the only undefeated team in the County but managed to outsmart the highly favored Chandler five by a score of 52 to 51. The 'Elite quintet led at all quarters lO-7, 20-12 at halft1me,,28-27, and 32-31. Harris led the Elites to victory with 17 points. The second game saw the Elites against the Tennyson Tigers in which the Elites were never pressed throughout the .entire game which is shovm by quarter scores 15-9, 50115, 43-25,52-39. Speicher led the Elite scoring with 15 points followed by Hants and Silke with 12 points each. Our third game of the tourney matched us against the Boon- ville Pioneers which was the final game of the tourney. The highly favored Boonville quintet won the game and were again County Champs by the small margin of 5 points 41 to 44. The Pioneers led at the end of each Quarter 12e7Q.2Oel9, 52-26,Land 44-41. During the fourth quarter the Elites pulled ahead of the Pioneers by 5 points but were unable to hold it as Harris was having trouble with Charlie Horses, and fell by the wayside in another heart breaking thriller of the Warrick Co. Tourney.Hare ris led the attack by scoring 16 points. ELBEFFELD 55 CYNTHIANA 41 Feb. 2. The Elites traveled to Cynthiana to trim the Annds 55 to 41. Throughout the first three quarters the score was nip and tuck but the Anna's couldn't hold the steady pace, and the Elltes came home with another victory. Harris again was leading scorer with 22 points followed by Silks with l6.. CHANDLER 55 ELBEFFELD 25 On Feb. 4, Elberfeld traveled to Chandler to keepn from breaking a contract. Coach Dauby wasn't taking any chances of getting any of the boys hurt before the Sectional so we dlitook it easy and Chandler won an easy victory by a score of 55 to 26 ELBERFELD 54 NEWEURGH 55 Feb. 11. The Elltes nosed out Newburgh by The small margin of 1 point, 54 to 53. The scoring was distributed among I five of the Elberfeld boys as follows: Harris 17, Silks ll, M11ee'I1 Speicher 8, Poiles 3, and Sellers 5. SPURGEON 44 ELBERFELD 54 Feb. 15. The Elites met with defeat against the lSpurgeon five on the Spurgeon floor by the score of 44 to 54. Again the scoring was evenly distributed among all the team. Speicher and S1126 6.
