Not all of school is study and hardwork. Wherever people get together, something is bound to happen. LEFT: In the four short minutes between classes, students find time to swap the latest gossip, do some last minute homework, and get the scoop on last period’s test. LOWER LEFT: Books and studies are abandoned at precisely 12:25 as students enjoy the day’s highlight: lunch. CENTER: Laden with books, the recess crowd streams back into the building after the shortest fifteen minutes of the day. LOWER RIGHT: Even with a tight schedule, there is always time for a friendly little fight.

LOWER LEFT: Love of country as well as the three R’s will be taught to these second graders throughout their school life. ABOVE: Seniors listen intently as Mack King explains the concepts and principles of Democracy. LOWE R RIGHT: Some students find it much easier to “borrow” answers than to study.
