The Marching Tigers Without a doubt, the Marching Tigers are the most closely-knit group in school. If any organization can be thought of as a family, this is it. The band, under the leadership of Mr. Tom Maddox, has had experiences that will forever remain fond memories long after we graduate. Who can forget the wild bus trips to ball games during which lasting relationships of sorts were made?Who can forget the pulse-pounding suspense of waiting on the line for the announcement for the band to go on?And who can forget the satisfaction of knowing that a show has been well done? The Marching Band Festival in Troy was unforgettable. Although we didn’t do as well as possible in the award catagory, we did show that despite everything that could happen to us, we still had mutual love and that was all that really mattered. With that, marching season ended and concert season began. There was a riotious football game between our boys and Opp, in which we pretty well creamed them. Afterwards came the third annual band dance, the product of many hours of planning and decorating, the social event of the year. The band and Mr. Maddox are masters of organized chaos.
