They 2: are all bundled against the cold, cheery walk ahead. Yes, l these are the beginners at Elba Central. They work and play ' together to build sound minds as well as sturdy oodies. Be- .. fore Joe knows it, he is picked up, along with the cleaning fL cloth beside him. He is now on his way with the janitor to do some locker cleaning and my what a mess! His silky fur is 1: covered with little black spots, but he is finally released from the entangling cloth. Dodging a few feet, Joe scoots ' under a near-by door to,find himself in the middle of a seventh and eighth grade study hall. These seventh graders started just this year to change classes and found it quite an experience. The eighth graders have to study hard for .. their regents. As Joe darts to a near-by corner, he hears W two girls studying spelling for the Junior High Spelling Bee. Joe becomes very frightened as a loud bell rings and people JJ run toward the door. He only hopes that he can beat them, E and he does succeed by scooting over, under, and on top of + many different kinds of shoes and socks. In the hall he is .f Z 1 Wm ui disappointed to find the same confusion, so he slides under a door across the way to find himself in an eleventh and twelfth grade English Class.
