Eleanor Sharp Bernard Wilder The Class of 1949 highlighted its junior year by sponsoring a successful Prom, the theme of which was the Gold Rush of '49. By popular acclaim, Marcia Hark- ness was chosen to reign as queen of the Prom, escorted by George Rowcliife and attended by Florence Panek and Geraldine Marshall. The Class rings, which were ordered early in the fall, arrived, much to om' de- light, just before Christmas. 1, In order to enrich our treasury, we served refreshments at the March of Dimes Dance and also at the Firemen's Dance. Various members of our class have achieved unusual accomplishments. Sue Bonney, Marcia Harkness, and Harold Heidenreich attended the All-State Music Festival at Medina. Richard Test was elected Vice President of the Student Coun- cil and was chosen to represent our student body, with two seniors, as the state of New Mexico at a mock presidential election to be held in Rochester. Many of our members took part in the speaking contest. Plans are underway for our Junior Play and a St. Patrick's Day Dinner. We wish to thank our advisor, Mr. Schogoleff, for the help and guidance he has given us making our Junior ' ' P , year successful and one which we will remember with leasure.
