Joan Paul In December we held a Christmas party in Franklin Shultz gave us the tree which the students decor- ated- We had light refreshments and exchanged gifts. ln February we held our Valentine party in the Music Room where games were played and valentines were exchanged. Home made cookies and pop were served. our home room. Last Fall our grade took an active part in the magazine Contest and one of our members, Barbara Jakaub won a two- pound box of candy for having the greatest number of points for subscriptions. There have been three basketball teams made up of Eighth Grade boys and one team of girls this year. At the close of the season,a boys' team made up of the best players from the three teams, played two games with Batavia and two with Byron, winning all four matches. not neglect our school work during this time for marks had to be kept up. We did We,the appreciation for the help Mrs. Strouts and Mr. Benton have given us.g members of the Eighth Grade, wish to express our ' -1' f ilfilfi --:-,L Q '
