FROSH- SOPH SETS UP NEW TALENT The frosh-soph volleyball team com- pleted the season with a 7-3 record, first place in the Sea View League. The team captain was sophomore Kris Mink. The frosh-soph level was new this year to the girls' volleyball program, added because of the growing interest in the fast action sport. J.V. TEAM SHOWS VOLLEYBALL ABILITY The junior varsity team completed the season with a 9-5 record, third in Sea View League play. Juniors Amy Ad- dis and Kathy Noesen were the team captains. The most improved player was sophomore Peggy Callahan. The team placed third in the San Clemente tournament and third in the Newport Harbor tournament. Ms. Sharon Spencer commented, The team is a very industrious and competitive group of young ladies. They improved their skills and developed their potential. VARSITY TEMNIS GOES TO C.I.F. The girls’ varsity tennis team finished with a 3-4 record and fifth in the Sea View League. Ursula Donofrio and Margaret Heinbaug were the league's champions and advanced to the third round of the CIF doubles competition. The captain of the team was senior Johnna Boylan.
