It is rumored that many students at ESHS go to school just to see the Assemblies. This year many fine assemblies were presented to us through the efforts of Ron Randall, Commissioner of Assemblies. Along with the usuals, such as the chorus and John Goddard assemblies, there were new presentations such as the Athletes For Youth assembly. 1. John Goddard narrates .one ,of his always exciting travel films. 2,3,4,5g Susan Horst, Vicki Jellison, Betty Young, and Jim Peterson model some of the latest fash- ions for the girls' fashion show put on by the Broadway. 6. The beginning girls' and boys' chorus entertain at one of the chorus assemblies. 7. Dave Hull, Wes Parker and Jim Lefebvre answer questions from the audience at the Athletes For Youth assembly. 8. The advanced girls' chorus waits for their cue. 9. The seniors put up an invincible wall on offense while Donna Cowan runs for a first down. 10. The senior cheerleaders show their great form: Don Bell, Bob MacGregor, Pat Giery, Carl Wilson, Glenn White, Mike Jellison, Arne Elmore, Sandi Schrader, Alan Brown, Stewart Swiggum, Sean Cronin and John Peterson. 11. The senior cheerleaders were always ready to cheer their team on to victory. 12. The seniors came through at halftime psyched up to win. 13. A touchdown for the seniors! 14. Senior, Debbie Summers hustles off the field. 15. After much effort, senior, Cindy Hull got the flag of junior, Phyllis Helvey.

A new event for everyone to enjoy this year was the Powder Puff Football Game between the senior and junior girls. The seniors, coached by Mr. Hale, pulled a 14-8 victory over the strong juniors coached by Mr. Whittington. Many favored the seemingly stronger juniors but the swift ground movements of the seniors triumphed. At halftime the juniorsenjoyed an eight point lead over the seniors but were never allowed any more afterthat. as
