Class finances and class activities were the major concern of The Senate They provided communications between the student govern ment, the school, and classes. ASB Vice President Mike Jellison, was the presiding officer of the Senate this year, and helped classes organize money-making activities and Wednesday class meetings. Within the structure of the student government was the ever needed Executive Council which was appointed by ASB President Steve Curtis. This group of young executives was responsible for the general activities and workings of the entire student body. The officers and their duties were the following: Ron Randall, Commissioner of Activities, was responsible for booking and organizing all assemblies, Steve Fahy, Commissioner of Sports, related the events and problems of the entire athletic program to the student bodyg Gayle Murray, Commissioner of Publicity, informed the school, parents, and community of all school activities, Cindi McMillan, Commissioner of Pep and Morale, provided everyone with school spirit through the rallies and pep club presentations. The Executive Council was truly a vital part of the student government of El Segundo High School.

Each of us had the opportunity to have our ideas and opinions heard through the House of Representatives This year the House was headed by Speaker, Ken Dalgleish, Scott McGregor, Speaker Pro Temg and Tara Stewart, Secretary. Members of the House were elected in each second period class and problems and topics for discussion came from these classes. The House was responsible for getting the new scoreboard, putting up football posters around town, putting on another successful carnival, and looking out for the general welfare of the entire student body. r
