.fray M if X , 'X Q. bf We F foreword There are various means of traveling from one point to another. You can surpass the speed of sound in an airplane or take a leisurely drive in a new car. The oldest and perhaps most effective way is by foot. Walking, a person can observe more carefully the wonders of his surroundings. The 1958 Golden Eagle staff invites you to ioin us as we travel around the world through the pages of your annual. Our first stop--Greece-the cradle of education. lt ls ony natural that this country be used to exemplify our faculty and administration. Our second point of interest is Switzerland. The Swiss Alps rep- resent a challenge to all climbers, as graduation presents a challenge to all seniors. Our theme, then, is travel-meaning to advance. Each one of us must choose our own means of trans- portation as we must determine our own rate of speed in advancing. Speed is good when wisdom leads the way. Our iourney does not end at the closing of this annual, rather it is iust the beginning of our trip to the high horizons of hope and progress.
