The picnic would have been a gustatory success if one carghad not monopolized the major portion of the sand- wiches, salad and cake leaving only candy and crumbs for the occupants of the r remaining five cars. This unfortunate calamity was minimized by the after-noon's ' diversion. All members of the two staffs 'assembled in the afternoon at the Amador'Hotel where they carried on objective Zoological research with the youthful alligator as THE object. Entertainments of a less scientific nature were- enjoyed by the more frivolous. At about six o'clock the picnicliers started homeward and most of them were in class ther following day, as befits representatives of the young Intelligentzia. I 1 I 9 9 2 a 2 j 6 Ditch Day i 6 QQ! On Moriday, Nlay IO, was staged the annual class picnics. The singular Verb seems appropriate, because, while the organization, provisions,, and original plan of destination of each class were separate, both ended up at the same place, the Country Club. To call rt a picnic, though, see-ms inaccurate, for the generally expressed opinion was that rt was a house-party. The diversions were truly .those of a hOu5e-par-ty-sporadic dancing in the big lounges, intermittent bridge- playing, desultory perusal of Vogue and Life, and continuous swimming, tennis, and gossip. Te sun was warm and the air was cool, there was plenty to eat, and a congenial crowd in holiday mood. Wat more 'could be asked?
