Jim Brown, Vice President; Charlotte Jones, Secretary; Jerry Vessel, Student Council; Mary Stine, Student Council; Carl Radebaugh, President; Betty Hartter, Treasurer. Class of 1955 The 1954 1955 school year was a prosperous year. In New York, the stock market climbed to an all time high, breaking the record of 1929. and in El Paso, the Cometeer was published without advertisements. The senior class was solidly in the black after picking up corn, selling magazines, and presenting the senior play. But all was not work. The senior breakfast, skip day, and prom proved to be even more exciting and fun-filled than we had expected. After school discussions about advanced education helped those seniors planning for future schooling. Our year of prosperity was crowned with the glory and honor of Baccalaureate and Commencement, which left all of us with a mixed emotion of sadness and joy.
