Betty Garber has built an airport at Montevallo and we see that she is doing a thriving business. Her friend, Mary Ellen Kennedy, who has an airport in Wyoming, comes to see her quite often. Pat Foley now holds the title of World Champion Chess Player. Betty Greer is a hot rod driver and enters many races. She is very proud of her car, which she calls Betty's Blue Bumper. Charles Belcher is a poet, He is trying some of Brov:ming's techniques and is meeting with consid- erable success. Monte Norman is a private secretary to Marilyn Monroe. He says he always seems to find some- thing to do. ' Mary Ann Morgan owns some valuable oil property near Oklahoma City, and she has quite a few oil wells. She also has a very important rancher for her business manager. Robert Pace and Nancy McLean live on the West Coast. Nancy is a model and Bob a photographer. They are one of the most famous teams in the country. Stanley Shumaker is kept very busy living up to his name. International Shoe Company has built a new branch in Dedrick, Missouri. Stanley is superintendent of the new factory. Fred Banks is a commercial fisherman in China. He really enjoys his job. Speaking of China, we see that Maurice Fugate is a diplomat to that country. V Lloyd Carter is in the meat business. He grows beef on his ranch in Texas, and then ships it to Missouri to be processed at his father-in-law's meat packing plant. Dean henry is a high pressure insurance salesman. He says he owes his success to his D. E. ex- perience in E1 Dorado. Anita Gilpin and Mary Haile are dress designers. They own their own company and are distributing high class merchandise under the name of The House of Anita and Mary. They have made quite a lot of money and they are planning to soon begin buying into several other businesses. I would advise you to watch these two little designers. They are going places. Donald I-lertzberg's occupation came as quite a surprise to us. We had always imagined that he would go far, but we had no idea that he would ever become an army man. He is Commander-in-Chief of the United States Armed Forces. Shirley Hess went west and joined an Indian tribe. She is the first woman to be chief of the Apache Indians. Eugene Horning is a big-time golfer. In his spare time, he travels over the world. On his last trip he visited Junior Hunt and Robert Jadlot on their tea plantation in India. What time Robert and Junior are not in India, they are in Jolly Old England. Joyce Kidd is a reporter on the Cattleman's Daily Journal. She is also married to a very nice man and they are very happy together in their penthouse apartment. Jimior Lakin works for the government. He prints income tax forms. Bennie Livengood is a famous movie star. He got his first break because of his many charms. Arthur Murray really got a good deal when he hired Lewis McAlexander as chief dance instructor at his Kansas City Studio. Lewis is the best in the business. Janice Bishop has made a fortune manufacturing lawnmowers. Her products are known all over the world, and she is quite proud of the fact that she has the only remote controlled lawnmowers in the world. Joann Coale has a very interesting occupation. She tests overshoes for Melvin Marshall's Rice Planters' Equipment Company. We nave a member of our class who has gone far as a television announcer. This person is Larry Wallace. He is the master of ceremonies on the Wallace Will Weigh Your Will Show, a T V program giving legal advice to participants from the audience. Larry has had a large number of interviews-with members of his old class in high school. Paul Warner designs cars for an European automobile company. His work takes him to many car shows in many parts of the world where he studies devices on many kinds of cars. Norma Teague and Marcelle Smith pooled their funds and started a chain of profitable pet shops. Their specialities are gold fish and puppies. They also do much work for the Humane Society. Lloyd Neely seems to enjoy his occupation as a fire chief. Wanda Snyder lives in the Yukon, and she spends her time trapping wild animals and selling their pelts to fur traders. Wanda says that she hopes to start a mink ranch one of these days, though. Peggy Stephens and Betty Wood are also in the television industry. They are models for commer- cials. They live a glamorous life and plan to visit some of their old classmates as soon as they get a much deserved vacation. At the top of their list of people to see is Joyce Whitesell. Joyce lives in Washington D. C. She is an assistant to the Secretary of State. All who remember Loren Nichols, make it a point to let all their friends know it as he is prominent in the lumber business. He manufactures toothpicks. Doyle White has taken over the job of Mr. W. J. Steward, who was governor of Missouri. W. J. grew tired of his many duties, and despite the demands of the public, gave up his high position. Beverly Plain is a very happy housewife in Fairbanks, Alaska. She went north in a big gold rush and found a husband instead, the lucky girl. And now we come to Marvin Smith, the last member of the class of '55. Marvin has accomplished many feats to which he can point with pride, but we believe that the most important of all is the fact that he is principal of E. H. S. and is trying very hard to educate the children of El Dorado Springs. 1 l

I, Betty Thompson, give my office practice Set to one of the unfortunate Juniors. I, Larry Wallace, leave my dramatic ability to Eugene Chadwick. I, Paul Warner, leave my pen and ink to Jack Panky. I, Mary Weber, leave my quietness to the Freshmen. In witness whereof, we, the Senior class, the testators, have set our hands and seal hereto this twenty-fifth day of February in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-five 119551. Class Prophecy While on safari in darkest Africa, my friend and I met with a fearful accident which took our lives. After making our home in Paradise, we were permitted to go through the Book of Life. As we were gaz- ing through its pages, we came upon the names of our classmates of 1954 and 1955. This is what the Great Prophet had to say: In the book we see that Harold Adams has been named Lineman of the Year by the NCAA. Earnestine Best is now a recruiting sergeant in the WACS. She hopes to someday start recruiting men as well as women. Mary Clonts is a kindergarten teacher. She hopes to work up and become a professor of economics at Stanford University. C. R. Cook has made a name for himself in the Metropolitan Opera. He is one of the most gifted Sopranos of our time. Jim Dissler is now manager of the Fluffy Puffy Powder Puff Manufacturing Company. Richard Flewelling has just completed writing another book. His last was the Smash hit, The South 'Shall Rise Again. Sam Bartkoski is a talented pianist. He has given many recitals, but his most recent is said by the critics to be a true masterpiece. Wanda Alexander and Richard Robley are a team of world-famous trapeze artists. They are now working for the Ringling Brothers Circus under the name of Bo-Bo and Trixie. Next week Denzial Brackenridge will be defending her title of World's Heavyweight Women's Wrest- ling Champion. Lorene Hopkins is her able opponent. May the best woman win. Patty Kelly has not as yet made much of a name for herself as a snake charmer, but she is looking forward to a bright future. The world has a new Walking Preacher of the Ozarks. The replacement is Rowland Smith, and he has dedicated himself to the carrying of the word to the sinful cowboys of the Wild West. Mary Weber is a hat designer in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. Betty Thompson has taken over the post of superintendent of hospital number three in Nevada, Mis- souri. She likes her job very much as many of the patients remind her of her old classmates of E. H. S. Donald Hamilton's job is quite different from the others. He is a mortician. Ronald Hubbard is a deep-sea diver. He has not married as of yet, because he has hopes of finding a mermaid in his underwater explorations. So far, all he has found is several octupi. The New York City Ballet Company has recently been honored by the coming of Joyce Huff. She has plans of becoming a prima ballarina. Bob May is a barber working for his father-in-law. Marlene can't help him very much with his work because she has to stay home and care for the little ones. Helen Gresham, Imogene Leonard, Rosalie Lovewell, and Joan Medearis are all charter members of The Society for Betterment of Former E. H. S. Students. Their club has one male member. He is Ray Messick. Jim Pope is presently in the position of chief dentist of the Mayo Clinic. His assistant is Eloise Rice, and we see that she is very happy with her work. Donna Miller lives in the jungle now. She goes steady with B-omba, and they go swinging every night. Reta Harris is a jet pilot. She has had her picture in several newspapers and is very proud of her rating as a jet ace. Don McCormick is a band leader. His band is called Donnie's Dynamite Doozies, and it is said that they are really going places. Carrie McFarland and Maynard Coale are famous chefs at the Statler Hotel in New York City. They are very enthusiastic about their work. Cecil Floyd has made a fortune in the chewing gum business. His latest product serves the dual purpose of chewing gum and cellophane tape. Dewanda Lowrey runs a fish hatchery. Her daily exercise consists of swimming with the fish. Evlyn Thompson is a bull fighter in Mexico City. She will soon tour the world and fight bulls every- where.
