CLASS PROPHECY One day as I was wandering through the timber looking for species of unknown animals I came upon a very queer-looking three-legged creature, no larger than a mole. I studied it for a moment from a dis- tance and deciding that so small a thing could surely not be harmful, I started to pick it up. But I only started, for as I reached for it a tiny voice said, UKeep your hands off me.N This seemed so queer that it somewhat startled me but imagine my surprise when he beckoned me to follow. This friendly little fellow took me to a small hole in the ground and still beckoning me to follow, disappeared through the opening. To my utter surprise and horror I found that I was no larger than he and soon I heard his voice saying HCome on.H He took me to a large room in which he said Pluto, the god of the underground, lived and as I was the only one that knew of his existence,he'd give me anything I wanted if I'd promise not to tell. An idea struck me, and I decided that if these obliging spirits were going to be so kind, and since I hadn't heard from or seen any of my old 1951 classmates I'd give my hosts a task to rememben So I got out my list and the good god Pluto told me about each one. He said that: June Stephens now owned the malt shop in El Dorado and that she now had two more rooms to take care of her ever-increasing amount of customers. Samm Egdorf, that center on our football team, was now coach at Pittsburg State Teachers College and that he believed in a good staff of secretaries among which were Nova D. Bausch and Joyce Disney. Pluto said he could hardly recall one name. Oh! yes. It was Gloria D. Bullock. She said she never did accomplish her ambition. It had been ten years and she never had caught her a man! He told me that at least one of our E.H.S. students was going to reach the highest office in our land. Gallup Po1l's predictions are that Ainslee Fowler is to be our next president and indications are that he'l1 hire the best secretary in the country for his own private secretary and that is definitely H. D. Cruzen. Also, Clifford Harding is thinking of running as vice president on the Republican ticket, but he hasn't said definitely. He's still in doubt as to which party will win. 'Jo Anne Tough was taking a cruise around the world. She said this would absolutely be the last one, as they were getting so boresome. - flBonnie Pollard is now a famous movie star in M. G. M.'s productions. They say that while she was taking dictation Mr. Metro discovered her fine features. g I see that Nathan Womble has taken Eddie Arnold's place and that they even call Ukie Carriker, NButter Bal1.U fGenera1 MacArthur finally resigned his position with the assurance that Jimmy Casey was to fill his place. Eunice Rickett is now a teacher in Columbia University. I understand that she's teaching home economics with Darlene Stockstill as her assistant. L'Lois Reedy now has a three story tea-room in K. C. and I was quite surprised to find that she does all her own dishwashing. She claims employees are so sloppy. Harold Dean Steward now has L00 acres of first class AAA farm land. He and Donald Reeves have adjoining property of about the same size and they farm all the land together. 'w'Doyle Witt is operating an inter-state truck line between here and Chicago. They say he's making a fortune. Dean,Estep is now playing opposite Margaret O'Brien in 20th Century Fox Productions Cas her father, of course . Q Bonnie Milburn is running a school for girls in the East. The schoo1's motto is UHow I Caught A Man.H I learned that a famous beauty salon in Chicago is now operated by Dorothy Hendrickson. She really likes her work. Her most regular customers are Jack Jones and Ronald Mark. , I see Larry West is still quite a Uladies'-man.N He always said he'd get married when he reached 25, but 10 years haven't changed him much. He says he's only 2b. Rosalie Fields seems to have got over some of her shyness. She now sits on her boss's lap. Of course, her boss is her husband. But, not so in Juanita Eason's case. It seems she's the boss, and her husband sits on her lap. 'W well, well, it looks like Lloyd Hoerning is playing professional basket-ball. He's now one of the famous UGlobe Trotters.N iwell, look who heads the top of the list of rich, eligible bachelors for l96l. The onei and only Frank Kogerl Congratulations!
