Council Sponsors Paper Drive The El Dorado High School Student Council under the ad- visorship of Mrs. Marzell Smith sponsored many school projects and services during the l973-74 school year. The most successful project was an ecology paper drive held se- cond semester. Papers were picked up daily from donors and stored at the stadium. The project, organized by co-chairman Darlene Howard and Mimi Myer, ended with the collection of ten tons of paper. A Human Relations Committee was established by this year's coun- cil. This Committee studied the ways relationships between students. faculty, and community could be improved. Another achievement was the passing of Amendment II of the council con- stitution. The amendment changed the election of secretary and treasurer from the fall to the previous spring. Other projects were the publishing of student handbooks, football scorebooks, and Buzz Books, sponsorship of a Defensive Driving Course, a basketball Chili Supper, giving teacher's gifts at Christmas, providing coke machines on campus, and giving a donation to the library as a school gift. it rouncil 'H ma 'km ' 2 Q .0 ..
