Chambers, Ball Receive Annual Dedication The 1974 WILDCAT staff has chosen this year to award the year- book dedication to Mrs. Sallie Chambers and Miss Mary Kay Ball. Mrs. Chambers, who retired this year with twenty-six years teaching experience at EHS, had served as a senior class sponsor for seventeen years. She served as chairman of the senior sponsors twice and was active on the projects undertaken by the senior class. Mrs. Chambers was in charge of field activities for Homecoming for five years, and was last in charge of baccalaureate and commencement practices, assisting with speeches. Mrs. Chambers taught English for most of her teaching career, and also taught Latin for thirteen years. She was head of the English depart- ment from 1957-1962. Mrs. Chambers is married to James M. .4 f iii Chambers, and they have two children, Jim Chambers and Mrs. Franchon Aragno. She also has two grandchildren, Angela Chambers, and Natalie Aragno. The co-recipient of the year- book dedication this year was Miss Mary Kay Ball, journalism instruc- tor and staff advisor. In her second year of teaching at EHS, Miss Ball was responsible for advising both the Hi-Crusher and WILDCAT staffs, and this year also taught Mass Communications on the new senior English program. A graduate of Morris Harvey College in Charleston, West Virginia, Miss Ball came to El Dorado with a B.A. Degree in Language Arts, and also brought the creative, fresh new ideas needed in order to put out an interesting and entertaining annual as we hope you fi .
