They discover there is more to the world than El Dorado, hut they also discover that there are few places nicer than their own community. They learn what the City of El Dorado provides as services for all the residents, such as the fire department. Field trips such as these create many future firemen - for a few weeks, anyway. It is all a great adventure, and whether the young stu' dents realize it or not, someday this will help them to he good citizens of their community, serving their neighbor as well as themselves.
