The 1979 Fighting Bicebirds ended their season with a victory over the Port Lavaca Sandcrabs. The 'Birds had a trying season and ended the year with a 9-1 record. John Drapela and Mike Foster were named to the All-District team with Johnny Ceasar, Barry Smith and Troy Washington coming in as Honorable Mentions.
