The German Club, under the sponsorship of Mr. Paul Soecht- ing, revealed a dedication to the German culture. The German Dancers performed at the Texas Folklife Festival, the El Campo Grande Day, the banquet of the Victoria German Department, and the New Braunfels Wurst- fest. The German Club also pre- sented A German Christmas. De' Ann Weimer, Delfin Marek, Kirk l-louston, Hoby Miller, Carol Helmcamp, and little Erica Soechting presented a play by Bertolt Brecht entitled Der Angs- burger Kreiderkreis, In a San Marcos contest, the German Dancers placed first, and the play placed second. ln state competition, the German Danc- ers placed second, and the play placed seventh.
