From Iceland E.C.H.S. hosted Aslaug Petuxsdotter as its foreign exchange student for the school year 1968-69. Aslaug's American family was Mr. and Mrs. Glen Johnson, Glenell and Pat. She arrived from Iceland late in August, 1968 and stayed through June, 1969. Aslaug found English a rather difficult language to master, but she learned to speak it well and fluently. Du-ring the prac- tice for commencement, she presented Ice- land's flag to the Senior Class. Aslaug models Iceland's native costume of lace and finery.
