Page S ixty-six BALL 8t CHAIN The Ball 8: Chain Club, organized for the benefit of married students of El Camino, became a recog- nized campus club during the spring semester of 1948. Mrs. Wilma Small, the first President, was succeeded by Mrs. Mary LOu Patterson at the be- ginning of the spring semester of 1949. The club has now increased its membership to over thirty couples and boasts one of the highest school stand- ings on campus. Varied social events are arranged each month to provide congenial, low-cost recreation for its members. The Ball 82; Chain Club is open to all married students who are carrying 12 or more units of college work with a llCl, average or better and who are also student body members.
