A Legend is a story . . . a record of human experiences past and present. It is a memory book bound with the spray of foam from a summer beach party and the golden light of an autumn sunset, the crisp blanket of snow atop a distant mountain and the first blush of spring on an April day. . . So too, goes our school legend. From a summer of informal classes, sunglasses and tans, we move into autumn and the opening of a new school term. The fall is marked with the roar of excited foot- ball fans, the flush of eager freshmen, and the round of new classes, new friends. Gradually winter descends upon us, scattering the brilliant leaves and greying skies with the soft strains of a Christmas dance, the close of a semester, and the flurried action of challenging basketball teams. Soon we greet the Spring. Another season, another memory. Besides the varied action offered by baseball and track, this is a very special time of year for the Seniors of El Cajon Valley High School for now they must bid their Alma Mater a sad farewell. . . Exuberant Juniors turn their rings and the Sophomores prepare for that mighty leap into uupperclassmanshipf' With the exodus of the graduates comes the entrance of another freshman class, and the exciting cycle whirls into motion once again, this time with a new cast, a new future. . . This legend is a memory of that cycle . . . a story of your school. . is your LEGEND, 1964
