While I regret leaving El Cajon Valley High, I feel very fortunate to have had the privilege of serving this school and its student body during the past four and one half years. I have enjoyed my association with our fine faculty and staff, In particular, I have appreciated the inspiring leadership of Mr. Cornelius, It will seem that a part of me will always be here at the Home of the Braves. In forming a new high school I pledge myself to an all out personal effort to build and main- tain a school the calibre of this one. I am certain that those who will join me in establishing the new school will work hard for El Granito's success during the difficult first year. It is naturaf that a keen rivalry will develop between the schools, but it will be a warm friendly relationship, void of bitterness, but more likened to the competition of brothers within a family, Congratulations to the '60 graduates, and good luck to students of El Cajon Valley High and El Granito High next year.
