av' The Cross Country team won this year's S,C.l.F, champion- ship with Rene Rogers winning the title in a mile and nine- tenths course, the time being l,l6. Grossmont's Cross Coun- try team has been undefeated in the last four years in league competition. We can attribute their winning to our great Coach Mashin and the hard work and spirit of Grossmont's outstanding cross country team. We expect to see many of these fine boys back next year to carry on Grossmont's wonderful record. road ounfry John Kershaw Tom George Rene' Rogers 399 C A Q lv i L 5 ennid VARSITY craoss coummv The tennis team is again one of the bright spots of our school sports life. Depending mainly on sophomore and junior players to replace the many seniors of last year's strong team, Coach Matern has been well pleased with the fine show of the team in tournament play. Although there are no really outstanding players this year, long hours of practice and hard work have given this year's team great promise for taking honors. , xx 9 a, if TENNIS TEAM 3 Q YQ Q I t , Q, , if y '
