MR. TED MURPHY Principal MRS. NELLIE ETHRIDGE Girls' Counselor Four years have transpired since Eisenhower became the second high school in Yakima. Four hard working, standard setting, memorable years un- der the direction of a staff of able ad- ministrators, dedicated to steering our ship of state to noteworthy accomplish- ment. A new building and a new school identity present many problemsg at the beginning we lacked many of the at- tributes that a school needs to become an individual identity and to reach the high standard of desired performance. This year, 1960 to 1961, could well be called our year of achievement. Eisenhower is now officially accrediteclg our students who have gone on to col- lege are proving that their preparation is of high caliberg our band visited Washington, D.C., representing the State of Washington at the Presidental Inaugurationg both scholastically and athletically we have placed among the best. These accomplishments are proudly listed. To our administrative staff and their assistants, supported by an able and in- dustrious faculty, goes the credit for these attainments . . . the exemplifica- tion of the name Eisenhower. MR.
