Special Education CAD Miss Maier takes a break from her duties. QBJ Mrs. Elizabeth Bal- log. Mrs. Ballog, chairman of the special education department, handles the C.W.T. CCooperative Work Trainingy students and those in job training. Special education helps the student to get along in this community through a work- study program. The special educa- tion department was enlarged this year. Last summer the enclosure of the breezeway was completed and is now the special education class- rooms. CCQ Mrs. Ballog reviews a student's schedule. CDD Miss Debra Price. Miss Price teaches home arts, English, and social studies. CE5 Miss Price oversees the work ofthe students and helps whenever she can. CH Miss Price stands near the bulletin board displaying the popu- lar election campaign of the year 1972. CGD Miss Karen Maier. Miss Maier keeps busy with the learning disabilities classes. CHD Mr. Paul Reed. Mr. Reed teaches home arts, social studies, and mathematics. CD Mr. Larry Delong. Mr. DeLong teaches social studies and English, and gives special help to those who need it. QJJ Mr. Reed pauses a moment while grading papers.

Industrial Education QAQ Mr. Wilford Hudson. Mr. Hudson, who is in charge of the industrial arts department, teaches architectural drafting and graphic arts. He also coordinates the l.C.E. program Industrial Coopera- tive Educationj. We believe that our industrial edu- cation program here at Eisenhower High School should assist each individual regardless of his so- cio-economic background, in an educational pro- gram leading to a useful and fulfilling career. The program must be geared toward providing career education leading to real career opportunities and employment. It should be designed to improve the understanding that young people have of the world of business and industry and the skill required to choose and pursue a chosen field of work. CBJ Mr. Krueger waits for a response from a student. CCD Mr. Corman checks over his students' papers. CD7 Mr. David Corman. Nlr. Corman teaches general metals, power mechanics, and electricity. QEQ Mr. Marion Cordes. Mr. Cordes teaches machine wood and electricity classes. CFD Mr. Cordes looks over the progress of his students in his record book. QGJ Mr. Fred Krueger. Mr. Krueger handles the CWT pro- gram QCooperative Work Training programb in which many students are enrolled. CHD Mr. Hudson exhibits his sense of humor as he talks with his stu- dents. The lndustrial arts curriculum is so designed to permit students to gain experiences and knowl- edge on a exploratory nature that will qualify a stu- dent to advance to an area vocational center where he can enter an intensive training program in a specific vocational area.
