Dr. George Riley 1922 - 1972 Dedication We dedicate this yearbook to a man who meant a great deal to us and to this school. Dr. George Riley was affectionately known as our doctor. He was a man of endless dedication. Countless times he was called on to attend to injured Knight athletes. Innumerable hours he spent caring for the Lancers as they traveled around the country. He gave us so much of himself that we feel unable to ever repay our great debt to him. Anyone who knew Dr. Riley remembers his enormous enthusiasm for life. He could inspire us with his enthusiasm. He encouraged us to strive for goals higher that we thought we could then reach, and when we did succeed, no one was prouder than he was. By his example, Dr. Riley taught us that dedication, enthusiasm, pride, and achievement are more that just meaningless abstractions. We hope that the memory of Dr. Riley will inspire us to develope these qualities he so well personified. This dedication is to a man who, by devoting so much of himself to this school, became an undying part of it.

Geraldine Folke Hagberg 1905 - 1972 In Memoriam AT HOME WITH HER LORD Her hands are folded now to rest. Hushed are those lips so pure; Her spirit now among the blest. No pain or sorrow to endure. Her chair is vacant now and lone. Her steps no longer heard; Her voice is still--no song we hear, No longer gesture, look or word. She toiled for others day by day. With sacrifice her life was fraught; Early began her day of toil, And late her tired fingers wrought. May we who toil in life’s hard way, A message from her share; Live not for self nor selfish gain, But for Christ--and others care. -Author Unknown five ”To live in the hearts that one leaves behind is not to die
