The oem A first evidence of notable achievement in sports was the addition of banners in our gymnasium signifying recognition in state competition. At present, four such banners hang proudly in the Eisenhower gym. Although many sports have fallen by the wayside, such as bowling, sea nymphs, and powderpuff football, others have been added. Some sports have increased in popularity with a greater following of fans. Soccer, for instance, has gained tremendous attention in its short three- year history. This attention was focused significantly during the soccer team's participation in the state finals this past fall. With past records of achievement in | all Ike sports considered, it can be noted that Eisenhower has a firm hold as a worthy opponent in high school sports, but tomorrow will always hold the possibility of breaking a record, scoring another point, and going one step beyond what was accomplished yesterday.
