Shoal the Hoop! Coached by Mr. Terry Boswell, the Girls' Varsity Basketball Team comp- leted a successful season. Their over- all record was 12 wins, 7 losses. A White Pine record of8 wins and 2 losses earned the girls the conference champ- ionship for the second year in suc- ession. The team was well balanced. Six different players paced the teams scor- ing at various times throughout the season. Leading scorers were senior, Vicki LeBlanc, and sophomore Diane Forrester. Diane contributed a White Pine Conference average of ll.6 points per game and Vicki an average of 9.9 points per game. Barb Chaklos, also a senior, led the Commanders with 100 rebounds in the White Pine Conference. Defense was also an important factor to the girls, season. Foiling the oppo- nents offense was the main ob- jective for the season. ane Forrester fProl shows her style.

Eisenhower's Girls' J .V. Basketball Team was coached by Jim Noble. A re- cord of 9 and 9 ended the season and the girls gained much experience. Sophomores Diane Ponichtera, Lori LeBlanc, and fresman Amy Blake, led the team in scoring abilities. Diane led with an 8.2 average per game, foll- owed by Lori's 6.5 average and Amy with 4.1. The Commander girls scored an average of 33 points per game, while their opponents averaged only 32.2. Up for two! Jeanne Colling, while Linda Forrester looks on.
