John Sweeney takes a rest as Mike Becker looks on. The Commander Varsity Football Squad had a real up and down season. Although their record wouldn't show it, the Commanders put forth super efforts and made many games tough for opponents. lkeis gridders battled their way to a 2-6-1 record. Highlighting the season was a season opening victory over Flint Beecher, 28-27. The win marks the 6th con- secutive year Eisenhower has won its first game of the ear. y Coach Fenton, Tutera, and Mikolajczak, saw many players join the injury list and must admit it showed in the latter part of the season. Outstanding achievement was shown by Mike Morley, Kevin Kocks, John Sweeney, and Bill Bierlein, who SPH1'liCd the seniors while Rick Payk, Kevin Krys, Jim Graebner, and Dave McCarger improved and shined for the juniors. sE.Qisurri145o1, Bill Bierlcinf761, .lim Levy 1801, Kcvin Kocks 1301, Dave McCarger Q341, and Gary Davis C661 show their Commander Power.
