Colorin Our World Art is more than a class to go to and doodle for an hour. lt offers students a way to express themselves creatively and is an outlet for their emotions. In art classes, students get lessons in sketching, shading, and watercolor. Crafts such as pottery, leather tooling, and drafting are also offered. THE 1977-1978 CHOIR OFFICERS: Jackie Spradley - parliamentarian Russell Bleadsoe - president Yvonne Smith -librarian Andrus Flemming - secretary The A Cappella Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Polnick, received many awards this year. Many mem- bers competed inthe U.l.L. Solo and Ensemble Contest and three made the All Region Choir. lke's talented choir was invited to the Gulf Coast Choir Festival. At another U.l.L. contest for concert performing and sight reading, the choir was rated as excellent. -53+ ' 'AM' fa. ' van-' ', 1 rj X ' Woodshop classes hamming it up. Workin Wonders Wifh Wood Woodshop is a popular elective that is taken by most boys during high school. Students learn the art of woodworking and do projects in woodshop. This year the shop classes made ski ramps forthe Woodshop isn't always all work and no play. lf l have to saw one more piece of wood. . .. gym classes to practice on. Woodshop teaches boys skills that will be useful and valuable later in lite. Bookshelves are one of the projects of wood' shop classes.
