Developmenfs in Photography Photography is a subject that takes a lot of time and practice. First year photography is the toughest part. The first quarter is mostly taking notes on the history of photography. Second and third quarter photojournalism entails learning how to use a camera and the fundamentals of developing film and printing. Photography teaches its students that there is more to taking pictures than clicking a shutter. As the year goes on, the Photo l classes experiment with different types of filters, and practice using automatic flashes and close-up lenses. Photo ll goes into more detail than Photo I, using special effects and advanced printing techniques. Warren Shaffner listens as Mr. Weems explains how to use filters. Photo I students wrote reports to help expand their knowledge. Tianne Jones works on hers. Smile or l'll shoot! - Byron Jubert
