The Pep Rallies at Ike this year have to have been the best. The Eagle Backers yelled, screamed, and cheered their team on to victory. Everyone seemed more involved in spirit promotion. The battle of the classes helped to keep the spirit high. The Eagle Pep Band per- formed victory parades through the halls during lunch, while the Eaglettes did their spirit boosting by decorating the Eagle Teams lockers. A special presenta- tion was a Funeral held for Humble, com- plete with a purple and white casket, an idea the Seniors came up with to symbol- ize that rival Humble was dead. Hillbilly Rallies and Teacher Rallies helped the enthusiasm to be its best. Mike Behrle, captain of the football team, said this year's pep rallies were very stimulating. They truly believed that they had the best fans ever. A new tradition was also started by the cheerleaders and team. Everyone was to stand and hold up one finger as a symbol that the Eagles were number one. And that kind of spirit never ends. Senior Tanja Rounsvalle was an active member of the new pep squad, the Seniorites. The Famous Humble Funeral meant that the Wildcats were dead. Eagles are Evil was drummed through the lunchroom by the Pep Band 'iff The Teachers performed spirit boosting cheers for the team!
