The Golden aglei-les Ladies . . . Againlll What a very familiar expres- sion to the members of the Golden Eaglettes. These sounds along with counting of l through 8 meant much more to this group of girls. The Eaglettes could be found practicing throughout the summer as well as the long after school practices. However, all this hard work paid off with spectacular per- formances at all football games and the home basket- ball ones. The Drill Team had another big responsibility which was promoting spirit. They showered the Varsity Jocks with food, decorated lockers and cars and even decorated yards. During Homecoming they even made the football team lunch as well as inviting them to their tradi- tional Banana Split Party. In the midst of all the work and school activities, the girls had many parties to forget about the harder side of Drill Team, and enjoy the friendships they had acquired. At the end of the year, the Eaglettes held their annual banquet and dance at Duf- fey's Royal Coach Inn to announce the new officers for the coming year. The Golden Eaglettes perform a paddle routine at the New Caney game. At the Channelview Competition the Drill Team did a kick dance for a 1 rating The girls show their outstanding spirit at the Eagle Basketball games.
