Bottom: John Cirillo, Brian Money, Marvin Moy- ers, Kevin Hannes, Kyle Griffin. The Eagles began their 1977- 78 season with an impressive opening tournament victory at the Clear Lake Invitational on Feb. 6. The team posted a 304 total to lead the competition. In addition to the first place finish, Eisenhower also captured the first and second medalist spots with Mark Danton and Chip Craig. The teams' next honor was a tie for third with district rival Humble at the Westchester Invitational held at Walden Country Club. Bubba Burford also tied for third medalist. In the Second Annual Eisen- hower Invitational the defending champion Eagles finished sec- ond. Chip Craig was first medal- ist with a one under par total of 7O for 18 holes. Other tourna- ments the Eagles participated in were the Humble Invitational - 5th place, McCullough Invita- tional - 3rd place, Oshman's Invitational - 3rd place. All in all it was a very success- ful season for an outstanding team of performers. For Seniors Mark Danton and Doug Super- naw it marked the end of an out- standing career at Eisenhower. Other returning lettermen are Bubba Burford, Chip Craig, and Blake Smith. Next season will promise to be one of high expec- tations and excitement for the mighty Eagles as they will domi- nate District IO AAA once again. The Swinging Eagles
